Our end of year Sunday school party will be May 29th at Claire and Joe Atherfold’s home in Carp. We will provide hotdogs and drinks, however we ask each family to please bring something for the potluck. There will be a scavenger hunt outside with prizes for the kids, volleyball, soccer and basketball. The potluck lunch will be in lieu of the regular coffee and refreshments after the service. Our home is located about 5 minutes from St Pauls, at 1450 Donald B Munro Drive. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 839-6160. If Mother Nature is not on our side, we will have the potluck at the church and inside games. Everyone is welcome, even if you don’t have kids!!!!
The children and youth are planning with my help to host a Brunch and Bake Sale on June 5th. The children are busy planning things and are looking forward to the event. We are asking your help to bake cookies, muffins and squares for the bake sale (clearly labelled if there are nuts in them please!) You may drop them off at my home Saturday, June 4th or at the church the morning of the brunch.
We are planning this as a community event, and will be advertising around Carp and in the local papers. The children decided that all proceeds will go to the Ottawa Humane Society. The children will be helping to set up the tables, and also serve, cook and clean all the dishes. Of course, some adult supervision would be helpful, if anyone is interested in helping us out on the day, it would be much appreciated!
So mark Sunday, June 5th from 8:30-10:30 on your calendars and spread the word.
Cost for 1 person is 4.00 and a family of 4 is 12.00. Brunch includes 2 pancakes, bacon, orange or apple juice, tea and coffee.
